On Thursday May 2, 2019, The Bloomfield Federation of Music celebrated its historic 75th Anniversary with a Gala at the Chandelier in Belleville, NJ.  Distinguished Bloomfield resident Paul Alongi Sr. was presented A Lifetime Service Award from Bloomfield Federation of Music President Patrick Burns and a Resolution from Freeholder Carlos Pomares.  The Bloomfield Federation of Music was honored for its decades of outstanding performances and contributions to the community with a Township of Bloomfield Proclamation, presented by Councilman Nicolas Joanow, a County of Essex, NJ Resolution, presented by Freeholder Carlos Pomares, and The State and General Assembly Joint Legislative Resolution, presented on behalf of Assemblyman Ralph Caputo, Senator Ronald Rice, and Assemblywoman Cleopatra Tucker by Councilman Nicolas Joanow.  Michael Sceurman, Director of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs, spoke eloquently about the important role of the Bloomfield Federation of Music in the community and exciting future developments for the organization.  The Gala successfully raised several thousand dollars on behalf of the Bloomfield Federation of Music.  Congratulations to all involved in this special evening!
