BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Bloomfield firefighters visited the Bloomfield Animal Shelter today as a part of a project to find dogs and cats their forever homes.

Bateman Bill, “ Bijou’s Law”, to Require Training, Licensing for Pet Groomers

TRENTON, NJ - State Sen. Christopher "Kip" Bateman (R-16) will introduce legislation to increase protections for family pets by requiring pet groomers to be properly trained and licensed following the deaths of three dogs in five months at different New Jersey pet salons. .

“It is sadly far too common for us to read of dog grooming deaths in the news,” said Bateman.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ--At approximately 2 p.m., the Bloomfield Police Department was alerted to an injured large bird in front of 43 Broad Street, the Bloomfield College Starbucks and Bookstore.

64-Year-Old Man Arrested for Allegedly Swinging Dog into a Tree Limb on Leash

MONTCLAIR, NJ - Montclair Police arrested 64-year-old Lawrence Athill on March 18 after he is alleged to have swung a dog by its leash through the air and into a tree limb on Eagle Rock Way.
