GLEN ROCK, NJ – The Glen Rock Athletic Club played host to doggies and their humans at an impromptu dog park set up for the first annual Bark-n-Brew Pup'toberfest Howl-o-ween yappy hour fundraiser.

With the event delayed a week because of wet weather, Sunday, November 3rd's weather was cool and dry helping to make the day a "resounding success," according to one of the organizers, Eileen Hillock.

There was football on the outdoor TV screen, Oktoberfest on tap, apple cider and donuts, and homemade doggie treats. The packed event culminated in a doggie costume contest.

The brainchild of Keller William Dynamic Duo Realtors Karen Ranno Boyle and Felicia Goldberg, the first ever Bark-n-Brew drew over 100 attendees from Glen Rock and neighboring towns, along with costumed pooches.

“We are so proud to be a part of the First Annual Bark-n-Brew event to raise funds for the dog park," the two ladies agreed. "It was such a wonderful event, with amazing dogs and their owners coming out to meet and play. Thank you to everyone who contributed their space, time and effort into making this day such a success. We look forward to the next one!”

There were “smiles for miles,” according to event organizers, as the costume contest kicked off at 4 p.m. with each doggie contestant parading up to the stage while their humans shared facts about them.

The judges admitted they had a hard time picking the winners but ultimately chose the following pups:

1st Place ~ Angel and Brock dressed as “The Jersey Shore Dogs” ~ Snookie and The Situation complete with wigs, tattoos and attitude!

2nd Place ~ Daisy, the neon “Halloween Dog”

3rd Place ~ Otis, the friendly “Shark”

Runners –Up ~ Charlotte and Betty ~ Wonder Women symbolizing “Girl Power”
