BLOOMFIELD, NJ-- On the 18th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on America, Bloomfield honored the victims of that day as well as the brave rescuers that rushed to help those in need.
The ceremony, held on the Town Green on the corner of Broad Street and Liberty Street, was attended by uniformed members of the Bloomfield Police Department, Bloomfield Fire Department and the Bloomfield Ambulance Squad. A member of each organization presented wreaths displayed by a memorial stone remembering the three Bloomfield victims of 9/11. The victims were Cesar A. Alviar, Catherine A, Nardella and Daniel Rosetti.
Mayor Michael Venezia addressed the crowd and was accompanied by Councilman Joanow, Councilman Gamble, Councilwoman Mundell and Freeholder Pomares.
