BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- Bloomfield will be releasing frequent reports for residents pertaining to the Covid-19/Coronavirus for as long as deemed necessary. The reports will provide residents with the most up-to-date information on what is going on and how to remain safe. 

“We have made the decision to put together regular reports on our Coronavirus response so that Bloomfield residents know exactly what is going on at all times,” said Mayor Michael Venezia. “We are taking extraordinary measures to ensure the safety of our residents as well as keeping a consistent line of communication open with the public.”

The first report details the proactive steps that the township is taking to prevent the possible spread of the Coronavirus including:

  • Conducting a deep clean of all township buildings this weekend

  • Creating a work from home plan for township employees should that be necessary

  • Cancelling most programs or events that anticipate more than 15 attendees

  • Enhancing the capability of live streaming Council meetings 

  • Providing phone support to the senior population through the Health Department.
