BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- The township’s waste and recycling provider Suburban Disposal has announced that they will be shifting their pick up schedule in an effort to minimize the potential of large groups of their employees. As a result of the change, service in some municipalities that they serve will begin as early as 2am.

“We have been in communication with our waste and recycling provider who has informed us of necessary, temporary measures that they are taking to keep their workforce safe,” said Mayor Michael Venezia. “Any new scheduling information regarding waste and recycling pick up will be shared with the public as soon as we are made aware of it. We will remain in close contact with Suburban Disposal as new details continue to emerge.”

If deemed necessary they will also change collection days to include Saturdays and Sundays. Any changes that are made to the schedule will be communicated with residents in a timely manner.

Any updates will be on Bloomfield website or listed on TAPinto Bloomfield
