BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Under the direction of Natalie Kerr, Band Director at Bloomfield High School, the Begnals Marching Band enjoyed much success this fall.
The band placed first in music, first in visual, and first overall in Class 1A at the prestigious “Tournament of Bands” State Championship on October 20 at Central Regional High School in Bayville.
The musicians also earned a first-place finish in Group 1A during the Hanover Park High School “Horns at the Hive” competition on October 13.
The Bengals also hosted the 37th Annual Bloomfield Marching Band Festival on October 28 at Foley Field.
Meanwhile, the Bloomfield High School Concert Band performed a portion of the concert at New Jersey City University’s Symphony of Wind and Percussion program on November 20 in Jersey City.
Senior musicians set to graduate in June 2019 were also recognized during the final home football game of the season last month at Foley Field, as seniors and their families from the band, color guard, football team and cheerleading squad were honored in an on-field ceremony.
The Bloomfield Music Parents Association will host an all-day fundraiser on Wednesday, December 5 at Brookdale Tavern and Kitchen.on Broad St.
