BLOOMFIELD, NJ--The Township of Bloomfield hosted it's first town-wide cleanup day on Saturday, October 19, with close to 100 residents participating in cleanup activities at more than 20 locations of their choosing across the town.  The day was organized by the Bloomfield Beautification Committee with support from the Bloomfield Division of Public Safety and Township of Bloomfield Public Works and Parks Maintenance.

Mayor Michael Venezia visited cleanup sites to say thank you to the volunteers.  "Today's successful town-wide cleanup event clearly demonstrates the passion and dedication Bloomfield residents have for this town," he noted.

"Events like this are a meaningful way for residents to both give back as well as take ownership of their community," said Councilwoman Jenny Mundell, council liaison to the Beautification Committee.  "We are grateful for our community's commitment to keeping Bloomfield beautiful."
