Atlantic City, NJ-- Bloomfield Personnel Director Kimberly Duva was honored with the New Professional to Local Government Award at the 2019 League of Municipalities Conference in Atlantic City, NJ last week. The award is given annually to a NJMMA member who has more than five (5) years in the profession and has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in local government service.
The award was presented to Duva at the NJ Municipal Managers Association awards luncheon. She also served as a panelist on the Administration of the Family Medical Leave Act Session. That session was moderated by Bloomfield Township Administrator Matthew Watkins.
“I am really grateful to be embraced by such a talented group of people in the NJMMA organization and for the opportunities the Township of Bloomfield has given me. I will continue to learn and grow and serve my community in a positive way", said Duva.
Each November representatives from New Jersey's 565 municipalities convene in Atlantic City for the annual League of Municipalities Conference. Each year there are educational sessions relating to the hot topics effecting the State's cities, boroughs, townships and villages.
