CLIFTON, NJ - Quest Diagnostics Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer Steve Rusckowski led a group of dignitaries at a groundbreaking ceremony for a new flagship laboratory at the On3 campus earlier this month.
With more than 1,100 employees expected to work at the new 250,000-square-foot facility when it opens in 2021, the lab, on the Clifton side of the ON3 campus redevelopment project, will be the company's largest. The 116 acre site formerly served as Hoffmann-La Roche's main North American facility.
"Our new flagship laboratory will enable us to empower better health through a comprehensive testing menu, faster turnaround, and additional capacity to serve more patients and clients," said Rusckowski. "Rooted in innovation, this new lab will also provide our employees with an inspiring workplace. This is a major commitment to our presence in New Jersey where we are headquartered, and it is good news for the healthcare providers and patients we serve."
ON3 is already home to the Seton Hall-Hackensack Meridian Graduate School of Medicine, and Seton Hall's College of Nursing and School of Health and Medical Sciences. Ralph Lauren signed a lease to occupy an entire existing building on the Nutley side of the campus. The fashion leader is expected to fully occupy their space by the end of 2019.
"We are thrilled to welcome Quest Diagnostics to the ON3 campus," said Eugene Diaz, principal partner, Prism Capital Partners. "There is a sense of excitement and possibility at ON3, which is fast becoming the most highly sought-after business address in New Jersey."
