Essex County man found dead after shooting near Feaster Park New Brunswick

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - An Essex County man died Friday night after a shooting in New Brunswick, authorities announced November 18.

Tawan J. Moses, 25 of East Orange, was found dead by authorities at 8:30 p.m. on Throop Avenue near Fester Park according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey.

Moses had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the prosecutor.

An autopsy of the victim by the county’s medical examiner’s office is still pending, according to prosecutor’s office.

This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Brandt Gregus of the New Brunswick Police Department at 732-745-5217 or Detective David Abromaitis of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-745- 4436.
