Shoplifting: 

3/2/2020- Noel Hernandez Age 47 of, Newark NJ- An officer in the area of 77 Bloomfield Avenue (Walgreens) was approached by the manager who wanted to report a shoplifting. The suspect, later identified as Mr. Hernandez was located in the parking lot. He had multiple cosmetic products in his coat valued at $340.00. Mr. Hernandez was handcuffed, transported to HQ, processed, charged with shoplifting, and released with a pending court date. 

3/6/2020-The Loss Prevention manager at 8 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop) responded to HQ to report a shoplifting. On 3/6/2020 at 3:15 p.m., a male and female concealed numerous amounts of deodorant, eye and hair care products, socks, leggings, and medicine from the store. The items were placed in a basket and the suspects left without paying. The items taken are valued at $250.00. This incident is under investigation.

3/7/2020-Alfred Lovett Age 49 of Brooklyn, NY- Officers responded to 296 Glenwood Avenue (Food Town) on report of a shoplifter that left the store on foot towards Bloomfield Ave. A search of the area was conducted and the suspect was located. Mr. Lovett was handcuffed, transported to HQ, processed, charged with shoplifting, and released with a pending court date. All proceeds taken were valued at $84.00 and returned to the store. 

Package Theft: 

3/4/2020- A Bloomfield Avenue resident responded to HQ to report a Package Theft. The complainant ordered 2 items from Amazon that was delivered to his apartment on 2/24/2020 at 3:44 p.m. and he never received them. The items missing are a drying rack valued at $100, and a water pitcher valued at $50.00. This incident is under investigation. 

3/7/2020- A Belleville Avenue resident responded to HQ to report a Package Theft. The male reported that his package was delivered to his home by UPS on 3/3/2020 at 1:21p.m. The package was not at his residence when he arrived home. The package contained an Apple 7 IPad valued at $359.00. This incident is under investigation. 

3/8/2020- A male complainant responded to HQ to report a Package Theft. His package was delivered by Amazon on 3/8/2020. When he arrived home the package was open and the items were missing. The package contained Apple Air pods pro valued at $200. This incident is under investigation. 

Warrant Arrest: 

3/2/2020- Darnell Davis Age 36 of Newark, NJ- Mr. Davis responded To HQ to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant out of Bloomfield Township. Mr. Davis was handcuffed and escorted to the booking room to be processed. He was released without incident with a new court date. 

3/3/2020- Matthew Bopp Age 40 of Burlington, NJ- An officer responded to Day Street on a suspicious male. The male’s car broke down and he was waiting for a jump. The officer checked his credentials and was alerted that he had an outstanding warrant from Hamilton Township. Mr. Bopp was arrested, transported to HQ, processed, and released with a new court date. 

3/4/2020- Tyrelle Walker Age 23 of Kenilworth, NJ- An officer was dispatched to 491 Bloomfield Ave (Exxon) on report of a Motor Vehicle accident. Upon arrival, both drivers provided their credentials and were checked through InfoCop. Officers were alerted that Mr. Walker had an outstanding warrant out of Elizabeth. He was arrested, transported to HQ, processed, and picked up by Elizabeth PD.
