Shoplifting:

3/27/2020- An officer took a telephone report of a shoplifting that occurred at 357 Broad Street (Quick Check).The manager reports that a middle-aged female took (2) coffee Creamer bottles valued at $8.00. The female then left the store and entered a vehicle in the parking lot.

3/23/2020- A Walnut Street resident reports that someone stole a silver extension ladder from the rear yard of the property. The resident heard a loud noise overnight and thought it was the wind. The ladder is valued at $125.00. 

Theft from Auto 

3/25/2020- A Bland Court resident reports that items were stolen from his vehicle between the hours of 11:00 p.m. on 3/24/2020 and 1:21 p.m. on 3/25/2020. Someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took an Apple watch with a black Otter Box from the center console. The watch is valued at $380.00. 

3/25/2020- A Beardsley Avenue resident responded to headquarters to report a theft from his vehicle. The resident parked his vehicle in his driveway on 3/24/2020 at 8:00 p.m. He went to his vehicle on 3/25/2020 at 1:30 p.m. and observed that his glove compartment was open and the vehicle was ransacked. His driver’s license and social security card were taken. 

3/26/2020- A North 17th street resident reports that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole one can of soda and $10.00 in cash. The incident was captured on video and the suspect description is listed below. Suspect description: skinny Caucasian male wearing a medical mask. 

3/27/2020- A resident from Evergreen Avenue reported a theft from vehicle on 3/27/2020. On 03/26/2020 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. on 03/27/2020, someone entered her vehicle which was unlocked and stole the residents black purse. The purse contained credit cards, a NJ driver’s license, two paychecks, a Social Security card, and other papers. 

Motor Vehicle Theft: 

3/25/2020- Officers responded to the area of Waldo Avenue on report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. The resident heard a noise in front of his house in the driveway and witnessed a male enter his wife's vehicle and drive away towards East Orange. The vehicle is a 2009 white Honda Accord NJ registration M13DFP. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. Suspect description: a male wearing light colored clothing and a white baseball hat.
