Shoplifting: 

3/30/2020- An Officer took a telephone report of a shoplifting incident that occurred at 331 Broad Street (CVS). The manager observed a male take various cosmetic products and placed them in his backpack. The suspect then placed the backpack with the stolen items outside of the rear door and another party picked up the backpack and fled. There is no description of the second actor. The items taken are valued at $100.00. Suspect description: Hispanic male approximately 5'9", thin build wearing a surgical mask, black hat, black sweater, and brown pants. 

4/2/2020- An officer took a telephone report of a shoplifting incident that occurred at 8 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop). The Loss Prevention officer observed a male and female, later identified as Frederyc Penalo and Rosmeilyn Collado walk towards the exit and attempt to leave the store with a shopping cart filled with items. They were intercepted outside of the store and were escorted back into the store. The proceeds were recovered by Loss Prevention and are valued at $359.12. Charges are pending for both Penalo & Collado.

4/3/2020- Jose Heriberto Perez-Delgado Age 30 of Bloomfield, NJ Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a shoplifting. A Hispanic male was observed by the store manager concealing items in his shirt. He then left the store without paying. Officers located Mr. Perez Delgado who fit the description given by the manager. Delgado was found to have items from CVS in his possession. He was arrested, transported to HQ, processed, charged with shoplifting and released with a pending court date. All proceeds valued at $385.73 were returned to CVS. Suspect description: Hispanic male party wearing a brown sweatshirt and tan pants. 

Theft: 

3/30/2020-An officer took a telephone report of a theft of catalytic converters taken from three vehicles on Arlington Avenue. The owner of the vehicles believe the incident occurred between 3/26/2020 and 3/30/20, unknown on time. The converters are valued at $4600.00. 

Theft from Auto 

4/3/2020- An officer took a telephone report of a theft from auto. On 4/2/2020 at 5:30 p.m. the called parked his vehicle on Haines Drive. On 4/3/2020 at 7:30 a.m. he noticed his vehicle was ransacked and $4.00 in quarters was taken from the vehicle. 

4/4/2020-An officer took a report of a theft from auto on Macleod Lane. On 4/4/2020 at 4:30 p.m. the owner checked her vehicle and noticed that it was unlocked and a couple of boxes inside the vehicle were open. She stated that the front compartment was also open. The interior smelled like cigarettes and she observed her garage door opener was missing from her visor. 

Package Theft: 

4/3/2020-An officer took a telephone report of a package theft from an Ampere Parkway resident. On 4/3/2020 a suspect took two packages from his front porch and placed them into a bag. He then left the area on foot. The items taken are valued at $37.55. Suspect description: skinny white male in his late 20's wearing a black sweater with a hood and black jacket. 

4/3/2020- An officer took a telephone report of a package theft that occurred on North 17th Street. On 4/3/2020 at 11:00 a.m. Amazon delivered two packages valued at $45.00 to his front porch. At around 12:20 p.m. a Hispanic male took a seat on his front porch and then took both packages. He placed the packages into an Aldi's shopping bag and fled the area. Suspect description: Hispanic male possibly in his late 20's wearing a black jacket with a black hat and blue jeans. 

Motor Vehicle Theft: 

4/3/2020- An officer responded to Bloomfield Avenue on report of a motor vehicle theft. The owner parked his vehicle across the street from 619 Bloomfield Avenue with the vehicle running. He walked inside to pick up his food and when he returned, his vehicle was no longer there. The vehicle is described as a red 2019 Honda CRV NJ registration R82LJC. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen.
