BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Officers from the Bloomfield Police Department made an arrest Wednesday in the case of a tip jar that was stolen from a Bloomfield restaurant.

On July 15, a patron of Original Number 1 Chinese Restaurant on Bloomfield Ave. order a meal and took about ten dollars from the tip jar on the counter.

Bloomfield Police Detectives investigated the theft and identified the suspect as a 59 year old resident of Newark, NJ. After identification, officers arrested Edgar Stewart.

He was issued a summons for the theft and has a court date to answer the charge.
