BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Lent is a time of reflection and soul searching. The Labyrith is a perfect prayer experience to help us accomplish this.
As a part of the Lenten Season, Brookdale Reformed Church is hosting a labrynth walk on Monday March 18 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
What is the Labyrinth?
The Labyrinth is a circle with single a path to and from the center. Walking the labyrinth is a way of praying with the body that invites the divine presence of God into an active conversation with the heart and soul.
The labrynth has been used as a walking meditation to assist people in finding inner peace, managing stress, and healing them physically, emotionally, and spiritually for centuries. The Labyrinth invites everyone to quiet the mind, calm the body, and stir the spirit on a journey of presence and deep transformation as we feel surrounded by God’s love and mercy.
Brookdale Reformed Church invites everyone to explore the Labyrinth and experience for yourself this ancient tool for personal transformation.
Please note that the last entry in-will be at 7:30 p.m.
This is a free event.
Brookdale Reformed Church is at 16 Bellevue Ave, Bloomfield NJ. It is the brown Colonial-era church located near the entrance to Brookdale Park. The labrynth will be set up in the fellowship hall.
