BLOOMFIELD, NJ--The Bengals have begun to turn things around after an 0-5-1 start. The team won back-to-back games, defeating North Bergen, 1-0, and Belleville, 3-2. Bloomfield was scheduled to host a strong Mount St. Dominic team on Sept. 27, at 4 p.m. On Sept. 30, Bloomfield will host Linden, also at 4 p.m.

Versus North Bergen, Stella Schmidt scored the game's only goal, off an assist from Gianna Feliciano and Bloomfield goalie Lucy Heyman recorded the shutout with five saves. In the Belleville game, the Bengals jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half, then held on to win, 3-2. Kayla Silva scored twice and Feliciano registered one goal while assists went to Jaelyn Oramas and Emily Beth Haracka. Heyman finished with 12 saves and Gwen Reoch turned back three shots. 

Bloomfield had lost its last two games to Belleville, in 2017 and 2018.
