FLORENCE, NJ – Burlington County will be holding another paper shredding event this weekend so that County residents can safely dispose of papers and documents, especially those with sensitive information.
The free event will take place on Sunday, May 16 from 9AM to 1PM at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex, also known as the landfill, in Florence.
The shredding event will be "drive-up" style. Attendees must remain in their cars, with masks worn at all times. The paper must be placed in the trunk, cargo area or truck bed and must be easily accessible to staff, who will remove it from the vehicle.
There is a limit of four bag or boxes of unshredded paper, weighing no more than ten pounds each. Shredded paper will also be accepted.
Please limit the paper to confidential files only, as no magazines or junk mail will be accepted. Also, the event is for personal papers, and businesses and non-profits cannot use the service.
The shredding event is open to Burlington County residents only, and identification will be required.
The event is rain or shine. Please note that the event may end prior to 1pm if the shredding trucks reach capacity.
The Resource Recovery Complex is located at 22000 Burlington-Columbus Road in Florence.
