BORDENTOWN CITY, NJ— Festivities continue on in a town famous for its Halloween celebrations, and one event is providing spooky entertainment while helping local small businesses at the same time.

The Haunted History Tour is a one-hour walking tour in Bordentown City, during which true ghost stories are connected to various locations in town.

The special ghost tale tour is run by Bordentown Walking Tours, founded and operated by Mark Neurohr-Pierpaoli. Proceeds from the special ticket sales are being donated to the Downtown Bordentown Association (DBA), which helps to promote the many small businesses, shops and restaurants that make up downtown Bordentown City.

“The Haunted History Tours are an outgrowth of the very popular Ghost Walk event that many folks remember as being held on the Sunday night before Halloween,” said Doug Palmieri, a Director of the DBA and owner of The Old Book Shop of Bordentown. “Some of the well-known Bordentown ghost tales are incorporated, but Mark N-P has done a great amount of research into the town’s ghostly past and has come up with many new tales.”

Tours are available Wednesday through Sunday at 5pm and 8pm. Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased at The Artful Deposit, The Old Book Shop of Bordentown, Mimosa Goods and Icon Boutique/Shoppe 202, all on Farnsworth Avenue.

Because of the popularity of the tour, Neurohr-Pierpaoli has expanded the days and times of the tours so that they are now run throughout October.
