TRENTON, NJ -- Signing up for a COVID-19 vaccine and then finding an appointment has been daunting for many New Jerseyans, particularly those without a computer or unable to easily navigate the Internet. The New Jersey Department of Health is now working to recruit a group of individuals to help their fellow New Jerseyans understand the benefits of receiving a vaccine; register for one; and sign-up for an appointment.
To join the COVID Community Corps, you must be at least 18 years old and willing to learn about the facts and myths of COVID-19 to answer questions. Members also must be about to help New Jerseyans register for the New Jersey vaccine registration system and potentially help them sign-up for appointments.
The presentation sessions are scheduled throughout March, in English and in Spanish, with a Listening Session scheduled for March 31.
Recently, St. Francis Medical Center also helped address myths and factually answered concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine.
