Candlelight tours will begin at the Visitors Center, and are limited to small groups and family units. Masks and social distancing are required.

Visit the Historic Smithville Mansion on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays in December for tours of the Mansion decorated in its holiday finest. Tours will begin at 12pm, 1:30pm and 3pm and are $6 per person. Reservations and pre-payment are required and can be made online at www.smithvillemansion.org. No more than 6 people per group will be permitted for Mansion tours.

Check out ice carving demonstrations on December 12 and December 19 from 12pm to 4pm. This is a popular event that has been held for the past ten holiday seasons at the Park. The ice sculptures created will be lit up as part of the evening candlelight village tours.

Don’t forget about the first annual free Holiday Tree Decorating contest at Smithville Park, open to families and businesses. The trees will be on display daily for park visitors and will be lit up at night for evening village and Mansion tours. Once the trees are decorated and ready, the Parks System will feature them on its Facebook page and the trees with the most "likes" will win monetary prizes.
