BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ – As this month begins to come to a close, Bordentown Township is reminding residents that January is Dog Licensing Month in the municipality.
In 2021, both initial licenses for new dogs and also license renewals for dogs that have been spayed or neutered is $10 and $13 for dogs that are not spayed or neutered.
January 31 is the last day to register a dog before a late fee is applied. After January 31, a new license and license renewal for a spayed or neutered dog will cost $15, while a license for a dog that is not spayed or neutered will be $18.
In order to license a dog, residents must fill out the dog license application, provide a rabies vaccination certificate that shows coverage through November 1, provide proof of spaying or neutering if the application is new or if the dog is newly spayed or neutered and include a check for the applicable fee made payable to “Township of Bordentown”.
A self-addressed, stamped envelope must also be included with the application packet so that the Township can return the dog’s license and tag, as well as return the dog’s rabies vaccination certificate and proof of spaying/neutering.
Residents can mail their dog license applications to the Bordentown Township Municipal Building at 1 Municipal Drive, Bordentown, NJ 08505 (ATTN: Dog License) or use the drop-off box in the lobby.
