MOUNT LAUREL, NJ-- Rowan College at Burlington County will be hosting a virtual job fair, open to the public, on Thursday, October 29 from 1pm to 3pm.
Employers will have the opportunity to meet with eager job seekers via video-based chat on the platform of their choice, for example, Zoom, WebEx and GoTo Meeting.
RCBC is extending the invitation to not only current students and alumni, but to the outside community as well. Attendees must have a Career Link account to participate, which can be set up when they register for the job fair HERE.
While this job fair will feel different than it would in "normal" times, it still has the same goal- to connect potential hires with employers. Job seekers will be able to see a list of employers, and vice versa, beforehand, and they will be able to pick their top employers, while employers will mark potential hires. Participants and employers will then be able to chat online during the event.
Estée Lauder is one of the area companies that are looking for new hires on Thursday for their facility in Bristol, PA.
“The long-term success of The Estée Lauder Companies’ world-class makeup and skin care manufacturing, assembly and distribution operations in Bucks County depends on building a pipeline of skilled, hardworking and diverse talent. We’ve had a prominent presence in the area for more than 30 years and are proud to continue to recruit local talent by participating at Rowan College at Burlington County’s Virtual Job Fair," said Kenneth Pickett, Vice President of Distribution at Estée Lauder.
"As we continue to drive our global business growth and meet increased demand from online shoppers, we are hiring numerous full- and part-time material handlers, order handlers, warehouse supervisors and more within our distribution facilities. We are eager to expose recent graduates and other local talent to the strong career growth opportunities available at The Estée Lauder Companies, our values-driven culture and our commitment to a safe and healthy workplace," Pickett said.
Pickett said that while all the available positions play a crucial role in Estée Lauder's warehouse operations, supervisor roles are especially great ways for recent graduates to start a career in the supply chain, and that many of the company's leaders have started out in the role.
Radwell International, located in Willingboro, will also be attending, with the goal of not only gaining new hires, but to get the community familiar with the company.
"Radwell International is participating in the virtual fair because we would like to get our name out there on who we are. We are right in RCBC's backyard- we're close," said Ashley Bennett, Radwell's Human Resources Recruiter.
"We would like to give students and alumni an opportunity to apply and possibly work for a great company. The virtual format is new to I think all of us. It’s the way of the world going forward, our new normal. I think it’s a great idea and a great way for job seekers to get their names out there in the workforce," said Bennett.
