WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-3) will be holding a telephone town hall on Tuesday, October 6 at 5:30pm to discuss how to prepare New Jersey for a potential second wave of the coronavirus.
Rep. Kim will be joined by Dr. Caitlin Rivers of Johns Hopkins University, who is a Senior Scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, as well as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Rivers’ research focuses on improving public health preparedness and response, particularly by improving capabilities for “outbreak science” and infectious disease modeling to support public health decision-making.
“The past few days have shown us that the coronavirus threat in New Jersey is far from gone, and the importance of being prepared for a full second wave of the virus,” said Rep. Kim. “I look forward to this important discussion with Dr. Rivers and our neighbors across Burlington and Ocean counties.”
Tuesday’s town hall will be Rep. Kim’s twenty-sixth since taking office in January 2019. Last month, he hosted a telephone town hall to discuss issues relating to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst as well as issues affecting the military and their families.
