Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement Reaches ‘Substantial Completion’ Limiting Future Closures

NEW JERSEY — After four and a half years of construction along a 4.4-mile-long stretch of I-295 in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, the Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement achieved “substantial completion” with the opening of the reconstructed access ramp from New Jersey Route 175/Upper River Road to I-295 South in Ewing.

Murphy Announces New Vaccine Requirements; COVID Rate of Transmission Remains Under 1.0

GALLOWAY, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy announced on Wednesday that anyone who has a job in a high-risk congregate setting such as a health care, long-term care or correctional facility will have to be vaccinated for COVID-19.

Gov. Murphy says there will be no test-out of the requirement by undergoing weekly testing.

New Jersey's COVID-19 Rate of Transmission Falls Below 1.0

NEW JERSEY — New Jersey's COVID-19 Rate of Transmission, the measurement of how much the virus is spreading, fell below 1.0 on Tuesday to 0.96. A number below 1.0 means the outbreak is on the decline, with every infected person spreading COVID-19 to fewer than one additional person, on average.

The State Health Department confirmed 9,073 additional new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.
