BRIDGEWATER, NJ - On Jan. 24, students in the Autobody program at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School welcomed representatives from CARWORX into their classroom to discuss industry trends, new products and safety.
David Lacasse, head technical representative at CARWORX, and Doug McAnally, technical representative at CARWORX, worked with the SCVTHS autobody students, giving a presentation on primers, sealants and base coats, as well as working with the students on product sprays and state-of-the-art techniques, which will be useful to the students beyond graduation.
Autobody instructor George Byrd spoke of the importance of the visit.
“The training helps to prepare the students for the future and lets them know what else is out there," he said. "Not everyone will be working in a shop, but this shows how every position is important to the business and how they are all related in their different ways.”
“Creating these connections is extremely valuable to the students’ futures,” he added.
