BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater-Raritan scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to come away with a 5-4 baseball victory over Phillipsburg on Tuesday.
Anthony Scarlata walked with the bases loaded and nobody out in the bottom of the seventh to drive in pinch runner Mike Maciolek with the winning run for the Panthers (7-3), who had to rally from a 3-0 deficit after the top of the first inning.
Matt Smoke and Justin Sinibaldi each went 2-for-4 with one RBI and Jake Hendershot had two hits and scored a run for BRHS. Greg Verano and Josh Polon each delivered run-scoring singles for the Panthers.
John Travisano worked four shutout innings in relief, allowing just two hits and no walks and striking out two, for the victory.
