LONG BRANCH, NJ -- Red Bank took control with a big third quarter and went on to a 72-62 boys basketball victory over Bridgewater-Raritan in the MLK Classic at Long Branch High School on Monday.

Red Bank outscored BRHS, 22-10, in the third quarter to take a 54-36 lead.

Alec Whelan dropped in nine field goals and scored a team-high 22 points for the Panthers, who were tied with Red Bank, 11-11, after one quarter before trailing by six points at the half. Rishi Mudduluru finished with 14 points for Bridgewater.
