BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The second-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan boys soccer team advanced in the opening round of the Central Jersey, Group 4 state tournament with a 5-1 victory over 15th-seeded Dickinson on Tuesday.

Anthony Cabrera scored two goals for Bridgewater-Raritan (15-0-2), which opened a 4-0 lead by halftime. Sean Masur had one goal and one assist.

Brandon Jimenez and Dom Demcak each scored a goal. Two goalies split time for the Panthers, who got four saves from Calum Erlenborn and two from Alex Aquino.

Bridgewater-Raritan will move on to the sectional quarterfinals, where BRHS will host 10th-seeded Scotch Plains-Fanwood on Friday. The Panthers needed double overtime to defeat SPF, 1-0, when they met during the regular season.
