BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan High School boys lacrosse team won the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions on Saturday, capping off an undefeated season.

The team defeated Bergen Catholic, 16-13.

The two teams were tied, 7-7, at the end of the second quarter, but Bridgewater-Raritan surged ahead in the third with six goals to Bergen Catholic's one. Bridgewater-Raritan maintained the lead through the fourth quarter.

Bridgewater-Raritan's Griffin Figel led the team with four goals, followed by Brian Kolen with three goals. Nick Attanasio, Ethan Christensen and Ryan Kaden each scored two goals, and Andrew Eckert, Nick Grill and Richie Lenskold each scored one.

This is the third Tournament of Champions victory for the team since its back-to-back wins in 2011 and 2012.

Somerville Woman Arrested for Shoplifting from Macy's, According to Bridgewater Police Report

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Somerville woman was arrested for allegedly shoplifting more than $400 worth of merchandise from Macy's at the Bridgewater Commons Mall July 7, according to a report from Bridgewater Township Police.

Sara Morales-Silva, 51, was charged with shoplifting after she was found with about $435.04 worth of merchandise from the store.
