BRHS Field Hockey Defeats Hunterdon Central to Win 12th Straight NJSIAA Title

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan High School field hockey team defeated Hunterdon Central, 3-1, Friday to take home the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2 Group 4 title.

Bridgewater-Raritan pulled ahead in the first half with two goals to Hunterdon Central's one, then got its third goal in the second half.

Bridgewater-Raritan's Sadie Herman scored two goals, while Sara Dimock scored one goal. Christina Zydzik had seven saves in the game.

This is the Panthers' 12th straight sectional title.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
