BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan High School Robotics Team 303 hosted its first annual Sensory Fair Dec. 9 to support local children with special needs, and featured different activities that were sensory friendly.

The idea for the event, according to Sarah Nasson of Team 303, came from reflecting on the annual October STEAM event, which is always loud and crowded. The team, she said, figured a smaller venue for a similar event would be better to accommodate individuals with sensory and social processing needs, who might be overwhelmed by settings like the STEAM fair.

The team assembled sensory boards and tables, which were then donated to ABA preschool classrooms.

The plan, Nasson said, is to expand the event each year.
