BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The last snowstorm pushed the township over the edge, and the council recently approved a resolution to put more money into snow removal services.
The council approved an emergency purchase to RJS Associates Landscaping Inc., of Bridgewater, for snow removal services not to exceed $75,000.
According to township administrator James Naples, they thought they would be able to get through the season on the budget they had already appropriated.
“The last storm pushed us over,” he said.
Naples said the company will be used on the southeastern portion of the town.
Next year, Naples said, they are planning to expand the scope of contractors the township uses for snow removal to allow for more to apply.
