Bridgewater Approves Second Batch of Liquor Licenses


BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater Township Council approved a number of liquor licenses at its July 20 meeting for businesses and restaurants around town.

Town clerk Linda Doyle said the businesses have satisfied all the requirements necessary for license renewals.

Plenary Retail Consumption Liquor License Hotel/Motel Exception

  • Day’s Inn of Bridgewater
  • Hyatt House Bridgewater
  • Hilton Gardens Inn

Plenary Retail Consumption Liquor License with Condition

  • Café Emilia – the condition is that the second floor of the building is to be used for storage only

Plenary Retail Consumption Liquor License Broad Package Privilege

  • La Catena – the license permits the sale of alcoholic beverages in original containers for consumption off the premises

Plenary Retail Consumption Liquor License

  • The Redwood Inn – the license was renewed despite the facility not being used because the license hasn’t been transferred, but there will be no further renewals granted after June 30, 2016 if the license is not being used at an approved site.

Bateman Bill to Require Training, Licensing for Pet Groomers

TRENTON, NJ - Sen. Christopher "Kip" Bateman (R-16) will introduce legislation to increase protections for family pets by requiring pet groomers to be properly trained and licensed following the deaths of three dogs in five months at different New Jersey pet salons.
