BRIDGEWATER, NJ - As part of Touch-A-Truck and Dog Day at the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center, a Bridgewater resident is holding a bone marrow drive through the Gift of Life.
The drive, being run by Jacob Grabell, will be held Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to get swabbed to see if they could be a donor. Joining the registry just takes a swab of the cheek.
Eligible donors must be between the ages of 18 and 45 and in general good health, plus be willing to donate to any patient at any time, worldwide.
Grabell is holding the drive for his Bar Mitzvah project.
