BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater Township Creative Arts Committee held its 5th annual Talent in the Town event Oct. 25, celebrating artists, singers, dancers and the arts throughout the township.

The event was a culmination of an exhibit in the municipal building, featuring the work of artists from all over Bridgewater.

Exhibiting artists this year were Jennifer Ali, Madison Abella, Sophie Cheng, Leah Foose, Anna Foose, Molly Foose, Amber Kalgutkar, Elena Kali, Parvathi Kumar, Dan Landau, Linda Lam, Tiffany Li, Hannah Lin, Sophia Liu, Michael Malone, Suri Marrero, Andrew McMahon, Michael Mezillo, Diana Patton, Iris Pan, Dennis Powers, Lisa Salgado, Donna Souren, George Straka, Victor Szeto, Meredith Thayer, Amalia Tsampalis, Neha Tummalapalli, Maya Weagley and Sophia Yang.

There was also a collaborative piece from the students of the Martin Luther King Youth Center.

Performing during the celebration were Marrero with a song and an Indian dance performance; Dean Hsieh, Robert Hsieh and Zachary Hsieh with a Chinese martial arts demonstration; Sanika Jaiswai on piano; Li on the Chinese Zither; Amulya Bisaria on the tabla; Anshita Jaiswal on piano; and a Spotlight Dance Team performance.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.

County Holding 5th Annual 5K Race to Wellness

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Somerset County Employee Wellness Committee is partnering with EmPoWER Somerset for the 5th Annual 5K Race to Wellness and 1-mile Fun Walk for county residents March 24.
