BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township introduced an ordinance for sewer utility improvements on various streets in town, which will also include repairs on the roads themselves.
The ordinance appropriates $3,719,700 for sewer utility improvements, including sewer line improvements at several locations.
Sewer line improvements are being done on Kline Place, Billian Street and Morton Street, and a sewer replacement project is being done on Pine Street.
In addition to the sewer improvements, the town will be able to patch up the roads themselves.
“The sewers need replacements, but the roads are also severely potholed,” township administrator James Naples said. “This gives us the ability to fix both.”
“We are doing this with cash plus financing,” he added.
Public hearing for the ordinance will be held Sept. 7.
