BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township was named one of the top 10 best places to live in New Jersey by Philly Voice.
The analysis was of more than 700 places in the state, and Bridgewater entered the list at No. 8, just behind Hillsborough at No. 7.
According to Philly Voice, the rankings are based on only towns with populations over 5,000. Then they looked at unemployment rate, adjusted median household income, education, commute time and crime.
The data shows that Bridgewater, with its population of 44,504, has an unemployment rate of 4.4 percent, and a median income of $113,939. The town scored extra points because of its size and things to do, like shopping at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.
The entire top 10 list, in order, was Readington Township, Parsippany-Troy Hills Township, Bernards Township, Hopewell Township, Morris Township, Hamilton Square, Hillsborough Township, Bridgewater Township, Raritan Township and Montville Township.
