BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township Police are investigating a report that someone vandalized vending machines in the Days Inn, on Route 22 East, in the overnight hours of Jan. 18.

According to the report, an employee at the hotel reported that four Coca-Cola machines had been forced open, with the cash being removed from each machine.

All four vending machines were damaged in the theft, the report said.

Police also made a few arrests for theft in mid-January.

  • Scott Bosley, 34, of Manville, was arrested for shoplifting Jan. 20 after he was allegedly found with $244 worth of merchandise from Target, in the Promenade Shopping Center. Bosley was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.
  • Corey Blumenfeld, 48, of Whitehouse Station, was charged with shoplifting Jan. 21 after allegedly being found with $99 worth of merchandise from Wegmans. Blumenfeld was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.
