Bridgewater Police Make Numerous Arrests for Shoplifting at Township Stores


BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Bound Brook man was arrested June 5 for shoplifting almost $600 worth of merchandise from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center, according to Bridgewater Township Police.

Nicholas Cuevas, 22, was charged with shoplifting after he was allegedly found with $590 worth of merchandise from the store.

Cuevas was also found to have an outstanding warrant from Newark.

Cuevas was processed and released pending a court appearance.

In addition, Ariel Medina, 20, of South Plainfield, was arrested for shoplifting June 9 after allegedly being found with $486 worth of merchandise from Bloomingdale's in the Bridgewater Commons Mall.

Medina was processed and released pending a court appearance.

Police are investigating several other burglaries around town.

  • An employee at the Pink Store in the Bridgewater Commons Mall reported June 5 that someone stole approximately 30 bonded yoga leggings valued at $1,798. The suspects were described as a white male, white female and a Hispanic female.
  • A resident of Railroad Place reported June 7 at about 4:51 p.m. that someone had entered their home and stolen jewelry and cash.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
