BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Just two days after a crippling nor'easter dumped upwards of 15 to 20 inches of snow on Somerset County, several roads in Bridgewater are still closed for downed trees and power lines, according to Bridgewater Township Police.

Still closed as of Friday morning are:

  • Allen Road
  • North Mountain Avenue
  • Finderne Avenue between Route 22 and Foothill Road

Police request that people do not move barricades, traffic cones or caution tape in an attempt to enter the closed roads.

In addition, police have advised that officers and residents are still finding more electrical, cable and phone wires dropping across the roads. In a Nixle alert, they said that residents should be aware that even small wires can be harmful.

Residents and drivers are advised not to drive over them, touch them or move the barricades.
