BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District has revised its 2016-2017 school calendar to make April 17 a day off from school and April 27 a school day.

The change was approved by the board of education Tuesday.

After using all three allotted snow days for the 2016-2017 school year, Superintendent Russell Lazovick is revising the calendar to extend the district's spring break.

Previously, students were set to return from spring break on Monday, April 17, and be off from school on Thursday, April 27, for Take Your Child to Work Day.

That is being switched, with school resuming from spring break on April 18 instead and school being open April 27. If the district needs to be closed for any reason in the next few days prior to spring break, April 17 will be taken back as a school day.
