BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan High School field hockey team defeated Montclair, 4-1, Wednesday to win the NJSIAA Group 4 semifinals.
Although the score was tied, 1-1, at the end of the first half, Bridgewater-Raritan pulled ahead in the second with three goals.
Goals were scored by Bridgewater-Raritan's Lauren Cleary, Ally Mastroianni, Kelly Watson and Rachel White. Goalie Jodi Vadinsky had two saves on the game.
Bridgewater-Raritan is now entering the state final for the 11th straight year, where the team will face Eastern Saturday in Bordentown. The two teams have faced each other every year for the last 10 seasons.
