WASHINGTON, NJ - In a close game, the Bridgewater-Raritan High School girls lacrosse team defeated Ridgewood, 10-9, Wednesday to win the NJSIAA Group 4 semifinals.
Bridgewater will now face Eastern in the group 4 final Saturday at Kean University.
This was the third year in a row Bridgewater-Raritan had faced Ridgewood in the semifinals, and the two teams feature a total of 12 Division 1 players among the senior class.
Throughout the game, neither team was ever leading by more than two, and the score was within one at halftime, but Bridgewater-Raritan had a three-goal run in the second half to seal the win.
Bridgewater-Raritan's Hannah Hollingsworth led with three goals, followed by Tai Jankowski, Ally Mastroianni and Kirsten Murphy with two goals each. Tristin Konen scored one goal.
