Bridgewater-Raritan Girls Lacrosse Wins First Section Title Since 2009

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan High School girls varsity lacrosse won its first sectional title since 2009 Friday, defeating Hunterdon Central 19-7 in the finals of the North Jersey Section 2 Group 4 final.

Now, Bridgewater-Raritan will face Ridgewood Wednesday at Warren Hills in the Group 4 semifinals, on its way to a potential state title, its first since 2009.

Kirsten Murphy led Bridgewater-Raritan with five goals in the game, followed by Hannah Hollingsworth, Tai Jankowski and Ally Mastroianni with three each. Tristin Konen and Ally Stanton each had two goals, and Addison Reilly scored one.

The team is 18-1 on the season.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
