Bridgewater-Raritan High School Boys Lacrosse Wins NJSIAA Semifinals

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - In a close race to the top, the Bridgewater-Raritan High School boys lacrosse team eked out a 9-8 win over Hunterdon Central Wednesday in the semifinals of the NJSIAA North Jersey Group 4 tournament.

Bridgewater-Raritan took an early lead in the first quarter, scoring three goals, then added another two in the second and four in the third. Hunterdon Central answered with two goals of its own in the second quarter, three in the third and four in the fourth.

Bridgewater-Raritan's Ethan Christensen led the team with three goals, while Nick Attanasio, Ryan Kaden, John Kaye, Brian Kolen, Ethan Locker and Sean MacKinney scored one goal each.

The team remains undefeated, 17-0 on the season.

Bridgewater-Raritan will face Westfield in the final round of the tournament Saturday.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.
