BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan High School girls varsity lacrosse team was honored by the board of education and the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders for their first Tournament of Champions win in the team's history.
The team also took home county and state titles this year.
"Our girls lacrosse team won it all, they took home everything they could take," said Superintendent Russell Lazovick.
"Whatever our athletes choose to do moving forward, the lessons learned by being part of a team like this will serve them well in whatever they choose to do," he added.
Lazovick and the board of education presented the team with a resolution praising their accomplishments.
In addition, Somerset County Freeholder Patrick Scaglione, a resident of Bridgewater himself, presented the team with a resolution from the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders, praising their accomplishments and thanking them for putting Bridgewater and Somerset County on the map throughout the state.
