BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District will be closed Wednesday while the towns continue to clean up following Tuesday's storm.
According to a post on the district website, crews worked all day Tuesday to make it safe to reopen, and the district has been working with Bridgewater and Raritan, as well as the bus providers, to determine safety for moving forward.
Because of road conditions, it was determined that school would be closed Wednesday.
Although Tuesday's storm did not drop quite as much snow as was expected in the Bridgewater area because it stayed closer to the Northeast seaboard, according to the National Weather Service, a good portion of sleet, freezing rain and regular rain mixed in after the initial round of snow.
The Somerset County senior centers are still expected to be closed Wednesday as well due to the weather conditions.
