BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan High School varsity softball team defeated Watchung Hills, 7-2, Wednesday to win the semifinal round of the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2 Group 4 tournament.

Bridgewater-Raritan's Kiersten Farrell went three for three in the game with three RBIs, while Sammy Mazzagatti pitched a four-hitter with one strikeout and one walk.

Bridgewater-Raritan's Sarah Karmazyn also went two for four with one double, one RBI and two runs for the team that had a total of 19 hits and four runs in the first inning. Samantha Ward scored three runs in the game, and Kristen Lee and Katie Winchock each scored one.

Bridgewater-Raritan will face the winner of Thursday's North Hunterdon and J.P. Stevens game in the finals of the tournament Tuesday.
