Bridgewater-Raritan Varsity Boys Lacrosse Ends Season With First Loss to Ridgewood in NJSIAA Group 4 Final

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan High School boys lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the season, yielding a 15-8 decision to Ridgewood Saturday in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Group 4 final.

This ended the team's 17-game winning streak, and was only its second loss in three seasons.

Ridgewood scored the first three goals of the game, and it was more than nine minutes before Bridgewater-Raritan finally put a score on the board, making it a one-point game seconds later. Ridgewood then scored another three unanswered goals in the second quarter.

Bridgewater-Raritan scored one goal in the third quarter and another four in the final quarter.

Bridgewater-Raritan's Nick Attanasio had three goals on the game, followed by Jalen Holmes and Sean MacKinney with two each. Brett Locker had one goal on the game.

The team finishes the season with a record of 17-1.

Raritan Police: Warren Man Arrested for DWI and More in Police Blotter

RARITAN, NJ - A Warren man was arrested Feb. 1 for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle violation, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

Wayne Krause, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding after being pulled over on Route 22 West.

Krause was processed and released pending a court appearance.

County Holding 5th Annual 5K Race to Wellness

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Somerset County Employee Wellness Committee is partnering with EmPoWER Somerset for the 5th Annual 5K Race to Wellness and 1-mile Fun Walk for county residents March 24.
